I remember when, a few years ago in Poland, I was watching the famous TV show "Hollywood Wives". They showed, how Polish women and their families celebrate the thanksgiving in USA. I was thinking "oh, that is soo cool" .. They live in the States, they have other holidays than us... I would like that too ... Such a silent dream :)
Did I think then that I would ever celebrate this holiday together with the Americans? In America? As a temporary citizen? !! Absolutely not. It did not even occur to me that my leg would ever be in US.
In the meantime, a week ago, I celebrated my third Thanksgiving in America, the second with my husband, the first that we prepared for our relatives. And I will tell you honestly, my face is happy when I think back to the moment when I over 3 years ago watched mentioned earlier TV show. This moment reminds me that it is worth dreaming! :)

Pamiętam, kiedy to kilka lat temu w Polsce, oglądałam słynne tv show "Żony Hollywood". Pokazywali w nim, jak to polskie kobiety wraz z rodzinami, celebrują święto dziękczynienia w Ameryce. Myślałam sobie "ale super".. Mieszkają w Stanach, mają inne święta niż my.. też bym tak chciała.. Takie ciche marzenie :)
Czy pomyślałam wtedy, że będę mogła kiedykolwiek obchodzić wraz z amerykanami to święto? W Ameryce? Jako tymczasowy obywatel?!! Absolutnie nie. Nawet mi do głowy nie przyszło, że moja noga postanie kiedykolwiek na tej ziemi..
Tymczasem, tydzień temu, świętowałam moje trzecie Thanksgiving w Ameryce, drugie z moim mężem, pierwsze, które sami przygotowaliśmy dla naszych najbliższych. I powiem wam szczerze, buzia mi się cieszy, kiedy wracam myślami do momentu, kiedy ponad 3 lata temu oglądałam wspomniany wcześniej tv show. Moment ten przypomina mi, że warto marzyć! :)
